In addition, there are
reservations for three stations: Vehkala, Petas ja Viinikkala.
Technically it is also possible to build a station in
Lapinkylä.
The headway of trains on Ring Rail Line
during peak hours are 10 minutes and the trains stop at
all station. The shortest travel time from Helsinki to
the airport in about 30 minutes. Flight passengers coming
from the north will change from long distance trains to
Ring Rail Line in Tikkurila. The travel time from
Tikkurila to the airport is 8 minutes.
The new stations are estimated to serve 5 000 - 16 000
passengers daily in the year 2025. The busiest stations
are Kivistö and Airport.
